WEDDING PLANNING & DESIGN

The Grand Bohemian — Charlotte, North Carolina

CLAIRE & DANIEL

This one started with the space—and we let it lead.

The venue is known for its artistic identity, layered with murals inspired by Argentina and statement blown glass installations woven throughout the hotel. When the bride said she wanted something fun, we didn’t look for inspiration—we already had it. The blown glass became our muse.

Color was everything here. Pinks, blues, and greens pulled directly from the glasswork, then translated into the patterns and textures we brought into the space. Nothing felt random—every element mirrored that fluid, winding movement you see in the glass itself. It all just… worked.

We leaned into sculptural florals as statement pieces—designed to feel like extensions of the art around them, not separate from it. And the mural? That became our anchor. Our backdrop. Our blueprint. We pulled from it to influence the stationery, tying the entire experience together from paper to place setting.

And while the palette started bright and playful, we grounded it with deep pinks and rich reds—bringing in that subtle moodiness that gave the design dimension. Because fun is good—but fun with depth? That’s a whole different energy.
